The only problem with buying a car that's been sitting so long is the oil already needs to be changed and the car still hasn't been broken in. You need to have the oil changed immediately by the dealer and have them use an oil that works good for break in. Not just their Honda 5-30 or w.e.
Oh c'mon. If you want to say some crap like that, might as well mention the transmission fluid and tires as well. That's a joke man. And since when is there a good "oil for break in."

If the car is a leftover 2007, it may have been sitting around a long time. You can check out the sticker on the doorsill to find out year and month of manufacture. The car might just have a couple of hundred miles on it, or it may have a few thousand, depending upon whether it has spent most of its time sitting on the lot, or has frequently been driven. Obviously, the battery and tires will not be absolutely new, and that may affect the life till replacement. Still, you need to weigh all the facts and see how good a bargain you are being offered.

I think you should do better than $27K. I got mine for that much in Feb 06, it was a left over 05 with 0 miles. Like you said, 09s will be coming soon so the car is technically 2 years old. Warranty starts when you buy it, get it!!

there is no break in oil for the s2000. and i believe you should be shooting for like 26 to 27k. there were a lot of 07's when i picked up my 08. i wouldve gotten a new 07 but none were in black when i bought my car. but there was white and now i want white.

I say jump on it. The warranty is from the date of purchase. I bought my 07 in Oct of 07 and paid 800 under invoice. I would imagine you could get quite a deal on the 07's now. I would change the oil after I bought it but I'm a weirdo about stuff like that.

Good luck with the purchase!

I read about the higher moly content in the factory oil but I also read that a lot of owners changing their oil shortly after getting their new car without any adverse affects.
