Let me properly introduce myself.
I just got my 2000 S2000 last night. Its silver/black. I am a member of LS1.com since I also have a 2000 Camaro SS. Just want to say hello and this car is awesome
If anyone has any advice to a new owner as far as breaking it in or known problems..simple mods (I modded the hell out of the SS, I don't think this baby realy needs any help) please feel free to enlighten me.
Thanks in advance,
Shaun

i'm gonna spoil it...
the secret compartment is the area where the top is stored when you have it down. it's only good when the top is up - just turn around you'll see it.
take care of that rear plastic windshield, it scrathes easy. try to order one of the roof well mats we have in our parts counter section. for the time being, place a 100% cotton towel in the compartment. also, when taking the top down, take it down about half way, and look to see if the window is folding vertically. if it is, hop out, and press it down (gently) so that the window can roll normally. this will save you from a crease in te plastic on the way up. many people have also bought a tube (the tube mailers are fine) covered it w/felt, and place it on the window (on the exterior) while taking it down. helps stay away from the horizontal wrinkles.
don't ever think of touching VTEC 6000+ rpms before atleast 600 miles and before the temp gauge reads 3 bars. if you try, the fuel will retard (smart ecu, eh?) and you will feel it.
umm...dont remember everything else...buy a little clock if you need...always keep it covered...remove the tool-bay cover from the trunk, as you get mroe trunk space...if you lock the console storage bin, and start the car, there is no way to open the trunk w/o killing the engine...if you get a few grinds between 1st-2nd, don't be scared, just take it to a dealer and have them fix it (there is a techincal service bulletin out for it). there is a seat belt recall and a boot cover recall.
umm, other than that...just keep it clean and well waxed/polished (read: Zaino)...
happy rev'in

Enlihtninboy, you have the secret compartment wrong. The secret compartment is found by opening the storage space between the seats, and then looking on the top. You can open up the place that the windscreen sits on top of.

What are the spring spacers for? and where are they at?
