Default lifting s2k

hello all,

Does anybody have damage from techs lifting your s2k on a 4 point mechanic lift??

If so, where??

side skirt? frame?

how does one lift a super low custom on one of those mechanic lifts?

when I used the lift at my previous job I'd have to drive up on a couple 2x4's under the front and rear wheels to get the arms under my car. It was a pain.

The two Honda dealers near me can't even work on my car because it doesn't fit on their lift. I'm only lowered on springs. Oh well.

They can work on things that don't need the car up in the air, but anything else, it's a no-go. At least I found a place to do my oil changes now.

Your driveway/garage wasn't good enough?

Some places have lifts that are low profiles specifically for this reason.. if they dont, then your work won't be getting done..

i had this problem when i worked at the dealer.
i just jacked the back end of the car up a few inched with a floor jack then swung the rear arms in. then did the same thing for the front.
reverse the order when lowering.
it always took me about 15 minutes to do this.

The issue is whether or not the vehicle can get up on the lift. Since S2K's at the standard height have issues getting on to a typical Honda dealer lift, a lowered S2K would be a more difficult situation.. The long and the short of it is that the dealer should have a feeling for what they can or cannot lift. Typically, even if the car is lowered, a careful utilization of a bit of lumber would allow a car to be coaxed on to the dealer's low profile lift.

Honestly if a dealer tech cannot recognize a difficult lift and deal with it effectively, you should not be doing business at that dealership.
