Default Lightest S2k?

generally speaking what's the lightest it can be made. i know with $$$$ anything can be done, but i wanted to know whats realistic. if you can please provide numbers for daily drivers, track cars, and pure race ready i'd greatly appeciate it. if you have any knowledge in these areas i'd apprecaite some info on where to save the weight as well.

A few guys in CA that I've read about over the years have completely stripped their cars for the track. I don't have the numbers, though. Check out the SoCal and Bay Area forums.

Lowest I've seen is about 2100lbs. I think 2500-2600 can be attainable by most and still be street drivern

How could the average driver reduce the weight of the car? Yes, I know, number one... lose weight. LOL. Anything else easy to do (ex. remove spare tire)?

the problem with just removing random crap to make the car lighter is that you fug up the 50/50 wieght balance of the car, and this mess up the cars handling. you have to reduce wieght evenly.

Its so hard to lose weight up front. Aside from bumpers hood and fenders there really isnt too much you can do. Brakes and aluminum A arms maybe?

In the middle of the car you can do seats and soft top removal.

In the rear there are trunks bumpers and tool/spare tyre kit. An exhaust shaves alot of weight as well.

Rims help out alot of you go the forged route.
