2HEATY, seems like your shift button is broken. Half the time its stuck, the other half of the time it doesn't work at all. I suggest a new keyboard and grammer classes.

Anyways, the outcome is pretty obvious on this forum. Don't see why someone would get an S if they hated manual.

 

Why would I buy a car that only comes with a manual transmission if I didn't prefer to drive that.

 

Only automatic I've owned in over 40 years was a '87 VW camper van.

 

The real question here is ...
can you be a car enthusiast and NOT know how to drive a stick?

Not sure some of the young'uns know what a "three on the tree" is.

 

I'm not quite sure what you said, but you can't picture your parents "doing stick?" What about your grandparents? That's what they HAD to learn to drive. They have not always had automatics.

By the way, I'm a grandmother, and have been able to drive a stick for 30+ years. It's like riding a bicycle. You don't forget.

 

My dad is in his upper 60's, just got a new 911 and fell in love with stick all over again.

 

You mean your parents won't buy you one until you learn how to drive a manual car, right? That's a start, but hopefully they don't buy you it at all.
