Default Limited Slip Diff Oil Change

Hi again,

Is there a preferred oil between you guys and gals for the limited slip differential? I have heard that the RedLine Heavy Shockproof Gear Oil is good but not from an S2000 owner....only an EVO V owner.
This is the product:
http://www.redlineoil.co.uk/products/heavy...roofgearoil.htm

Also is there any manual on the web about performing this change?

Thanks,

Adrian

I've been running Mobil1 synthetic as well for the past 30k. So far to good But, I'm thinking about changing it to Redline on the next one.

Caution on the Redline Shockprooof. Xviper did a test with it in his car (may be at the end of the above DIY thread or in another one). He sent the used oil to Blackstone labs for analysis after about 3000miles and it did not look good. Shockproof is meant for hard use, and apparently has very little longevity.

I use mobil1 75w90 in mine.

My studies of Shockproof indicate it is a bad choice for a street driven vehicle - it has a specific application, and this aint it.

i use the mobile one synth 75-90. $6.99 at autozone for a quart. the diff takes .78 quarts but its hard to fill it (i use a large turkey baster) so if you don't spill any you can use one quart.

Looks like most of the locals around here are using Redline 75W-90 ......

Thats what 4-6 of us are going to be changing to this Saturday!
