Shockproof is made for hard abusive conditions. It cushions the 'shock' of high rpm drag launches. It does NOT hold up to daily use. If you use it, plan to replace it every 1000 miles. xviper's diff oil analysis showed large amounts of metal after 3000 miles of daily use, and he is not one to abuse his vehicle.
I just used 80W 90 Valvoline. I asked the local dealer and a local performance shop and they both recommended a regular 80W 90. X-Viper has a good write up on the procedure, I did it myself for less than $7, $3.50 for the oil itself and $3 to rent a hydrualic lift for an hour (the kind that lifts the entire car 6 feet in the air.) The dealer wanted $55 for diff service.
