Lip or No Lip? That is the question.
I think ap1's need a lip there just ugly without it. Mine lookes like a dumb fish without a lip lmfao. But if your getting a new bumper, get a ap2 and get a jdp lip, they sexy af. Thats what im rocking once its painted lol.
Thanks for the input. I have to make a quick decision. I honestly can't decide if I like the look of the lip better or worse than the naked bumper. I have a BaysonR lip in the garage. I think I'll have the body shop paint it but leave it off for now and then put it on myself down the road if the mood strikes or if I take some minor dings to the lower bumper.
I can't imagine it will cost much more to paint this lip while they are painting the new bumper.

Honestly, I think it's really a preference of the owner. I had an ap1, and liked it without the lip. I had an ap2, and put the oem ap2 lip on it because I thought it needed it. I then pitched the oem ap2 lip and went with the Mugen splitter. Now, I have a CR front lip with a splitter (purely cosmetic).
The one thing I will say is that you might have a difficult time finding a new OEM AP1 lip so it might be easier to go through the used market (marketplace). I don't know much about the replica market but I've heard some of them have some issues with fitment.
