You know that little plastic cut-out on the right side of the steering wheel? It's symmetric with the cruise control button. Does anyone know if that piece comes out easily? (I

 

That's an auxiliary electrical "outlet" in case you install something that needs another control button on the dash (e.g. fog lights). Never tried to remove it, but seems like taking the dash apart may not be necessary...?

You should take a small putty knife wrapped with masking tape and gently try prying it out at various places along its edge.

 

It's very easy to remove. It just pops out. That panel is where my LED for my alarm is.
