Default locked storage compartment, now cant open it

I only got 1 key for my s2k so i am assuming this locks the center storage box. I went to lock my storage box. I am now trying to open it and it wont open? what gives? did I use the wrong key? is there another key?

If it locked it it should unlock it. The only thing I can think is that maybe you used the valet key. The valet key won't open the trunk or the center box. I don't know if it can be used to lock them however. I will have to check.

what color is your key? if it is grey that is the valet key, it can't be used to open the center console or trunk. like said before i don't know if it will lock it.

Are you leaving the key in the lock when ur trying to open it? Turn it, remove key, push button, open.
