Default Lojack success stories?

I know a lot of people, including myself purchased the Lojack security system for their cars. But I hardly hear any success stories.

Did you or anyone else you know recover a car with Lojack. Or better yet track a theif down and bring him to justice?

Would love to hear some stories!

I don't like the thought of someone stealing my car, the cops tracking it, and I get the car back, not knowing what they did to it.

Lojack has a new service that connects to the recovery system. The new system calls, emails, or pages you if your car is moved. Apparently there is some key that you put in the device installed on your steering column before you start your car.

Anyone have this new lojack option?

Sound interesting, but I still say that's not enough. How about it alerts you, and then you have a button that triggers a steering wheel electrocution. Then the next day on the news, you see your own car crashed into a river with the thief dead in there! Haha, now that I'd pay for!

If anything get the LoJack for the insurance reduction. I had it on my S and they took off $150 a year.

I know a lot of ITR owners haven't had much with the Lojack. You might want to check this out as well www.boomerangtracking.com

You shouldn't have to pay anything per-year. Once it's installed, you should be good to go.

I have heard of a lot of success stories. One time (at bandcamp) they caught the thief and recovered 25 cars!

P.S. If the car isn't recovered withing 24 hrs, lojack will reimburse you what you paid for it.
Excellent, excellent choice.

I'm with Thoe99. Once a thief gets my S and takes off with it, I don't think I'd want it back because if it was recovered, I'd feel like it had been "violated" for lack of a better term. Also the insurance savings was so low as to be non-existent, so for that reason alone I opted not to get it.
