long term engine reliability?
IMO, AP2 looks better...and I think many would agree...but whatever...Looks aside, so the only thing is, a softer suspension? why can't you just switch out the rear sway bar, change it to 30mm? Is the actual suspension changed too? Meaning I could just get new shocks and have it better than the AP1? thanks!
I just had my oil analyized after an oil change at 18K miles. the guy was so impressed with the exceedingly low wear, that he said I can expect my motor to last 500K miles. I have an F20C (2003) and I just use standard Chevron 10W-30 oil from Costco.
(I have a thread in Under the Hood regarding my oil test results if you care to look for it)

The AP2 chassis is more predictable, especially during auto-x'ing where predictability is key. A twitchy tail may be "exciting" and "raw" to some, but I don't see how it is better from a track/auto-x'ing point of view.

hmm, very interesting. thanks for all the information. So with all this said, why wouldn't anyone want the F22C engine? (besides a lowered redline) the F22C seems to have more potential when it comes to tuning. And 30-50 MPH, 50-70 MPH, acceleration is faster than the F20C. Is this all pretty much true? I guess, what are the pros and cons in a nutshell? thanks!
And no the F22C doesn't have more potential than the F20C when it comes to tuning. I think the engines are about the same in that regard as well.

I dont know/think one car is faster than the other. Though as of yet, I don't think anyone in an F20C has beaten the fastest stock time of an F20C (13.66 in the 1/4 mile). as for accelerating 30-50 or 50-70, that all depends on gearing. At 30mph you can drop to 1st gear on the F20C and take off like a bat out of hell.
