Long trips in an S2000
Last summer, my wife and I went on a week long, 1800 mile road trip(http://forums.s2ki.com/forums/showthread.p...threadid=143672) in my S2000 and we had a wonderful time. Just be sure to pack carefully and plan your routes to avoid as much freeway driving as possible. Don't forget to reserve enough time to fully enjoy the Hwy1.
Last year I did a 2 week camping trip with a few friends in France. We watched the LeMans 24H race and then drove around Normandie visiting some of the interesting WW2 sights. Finally we drove back to Germany and drove on the Nurburgring circuit!
Aside from the tents, all of my passenger's and my stuff fit in the S2000, even with the factory CD changer and mandatory warning triangle + first aid kit. Even the sleeping bags, foldable chairs, and SLR camera bags fit. The tents went in the BMW E30 of the two others that came along. Most of the roads we travelled on were non-highway and were lots of fun with the open top. I was always looking forward to the driving portions of the entire trip.
That was a very enjoyable trip. Country roads can be taken instead of highways, but it's best if your passenger is good with a map.

If your vacation is about having fun at the destination, don't do it. The car is small, noisy and tiring.
If your vacation is about the trip, it is extremely fun. It's kind of like automotive camping. The key to enjoying a S2000 road trip is being prepared, enjoying adventure and adversity. Have sunscreen and drinks in car. Take the back roads, explore and get lost. Have your passanger be a "teammate" and be navigator and photographer. Stop often to look at the scenery, eat and gawk at the "unique" things you find. The destination is more of a extended rest stop and excuse to drive.

I don't see a problem at all. I mean, people do it on motorcycles, including myself, and that's far far more jarring then any car, and even the S2000. I mean a S2000 trunk fits far more stuff then I can carry on my bike.
The only alarm bell that went off in my head is your GF statement about how "I'l look hot in it". That's what would give me a pause. This expectation is a little strange to me, and is bound to be a disappointment. Other then that, sounds great, take pictures and report back later. Do it.

I packed in the S for an entire summer; I'm sure you can manage to get three weeks worth into it. Although it does sound like your g/f is a little off in her expectations.
Are you buying the car just for this trip? It sounded like you don't own one yet. Maybe wait till you get back. I dunno. Good luck.
