Drove from france to Greece last summer, about 3000 kms each way, and loved every second of it, from the Italian Autostrada (average speed on the left lane = 200kmh, with Audis and BMWs tailgaiting you at 220kmh!), to the empty and hot Greek mountain roads.
About to do it again next week, but this time from London..

To break in my new S2k, drove from San Diego to Sacramento (c.500 miles) on my way to Thunderhill with one brief stop for lunch and one extra stop for gas only. My Jaguar coupe is definitely a more comfortable car for a trip like this, but the s2k wasn't bad at all. I didn't think to apply any sunscreen and drove the whole trip with the top down (I avoid putting the top up). Got a pretty good burn as a result. Next time, SP50!

The main problem with the trip up, as I've stated in earlier posts, was that the inland route via I-5 is so BORING. So I came back by crossing over to Pacific Coast Highway and staying with 1 all the way to LA. Even though it was a slower and longer drive, it was much more fun than I-5. I did stop overnight on the way back.

S2KDays was about 3000 miles for me round trip, since I took some intentional detours on the way up. I was totally sick of being in the car, but I didn't ache any more so than I would have in any other car; in fact, I felt better than I have in other cars on similar trips.

I have found the S2000 to be the most confortable car I have ever driven on long trips. The wind and engine noises, in my view, are sweet music, and the seats are better for my back (two herniated discs) than any others I've sat in.

i drove from DC to SF in 5 days, one day doing 1000 miles in 12 hours. every night when i laid down to sleep all i could think of was "hmm, what a gorgeous night to go for a drive!!"
it was one of the best experiences in my life, the only complaint was that i had to stop!!

Drove 14 hours with 4 or 5 stops (one for lunch, one for dinner and 2 or 3 for gas) from NC to MA and felt fine.....car was very comfortable. Just plan to stop once every few hours to fill up with gas and check your oil, etc. It's all you really need to do....enjoy.

Drove from Denver to Albuquerque and back to show a friend the car. Did this in a period of 36 hours. Great ride! My wife was concerned about being in a claustrophobic situation but felt perfectly comfortable. My back was completely supported and it was a fun drive. Even when a NM State Patrolman flipped a U and came after me (at least that is what I thought). He picked up a Ford SUV that had just passed me. We are thinking about driving Route 66 from Chicago to California in the near future.

I'll second calc's tip: road noise is decreased, and fun quotient in increased, by staying off the interstate and finding the scenic two lane highways.

Drove non-stop from Mpls. to Dallas about 1000 miles in < 15 hrs. The car was very comfortable. Had done a similar drive from Dallas to Mpls a few years before (moving to Mpls) in my TransAm. By comparison the S2K was a better drive.
