This guy is a freagin tool, im sorry but his reveiw was very poorly done, im not jugding his character or his journalism skills but this peice of work he did is crap.
He is in a position where he is reveiwing this car and writing about it to the whole world, he should have some clue what he is reveiwing and do a better job holding his opinions back and present the facts unbiasly.

i agree that people are entitled to their own opinion, but this is a "professional reviewer" that we are dealing with. his review is based on his subjective, but unlearned, opionions, not based on educated, objective evaluation. i hate when so called reviewers do this. i mean, even if you don't like the car personally, you can still make objective judgments about the car. what kind of reviewer complains about stiff ride and engine noise when sport cars are supposed to be stiff and loud. you have to compare things in its class or category! it's like complaining that two seater roaster only seats two!

This is what the A$$hole said
"No traction control system is offered, which means the S2000 will tend to slide on slippery roads with all its power and wide performance tires. Dumb oversight? Honda says no

Nope! The Honda Passport (and Acura equal if there was one) was the Isuzu. The MDX is Honda's own design that I believe is based on their minivan platform.

I agree with you, bullet S2K. All I'm asking is that we limit the discussion to his articles, and not make gereralizations about him as a person. To me, there's a big difference between "This article is a piece of..." and "This guy is a piece of..." That's all. Thanks for listening.

mcco99 , very true.

many objections has been ad hominem argumenta: Appealing to personal considerations rather than to logic or reason.

we shouldn't do this. we can knock those reviewers on more relevant and important grounds.

Maybe this wouldn't be totally appropriate since the article is quite old, but Mr. Jedlicka writes for the Chicago Sun Times. They have a feedback form here:

If we keep the comments civil, maybe it'd be good to tell this man that his outlook is shady. After all, if a person never hears criticisms, they'll start to think they're perfect.

Two points:

1) That reviewer is either a dufus or started out seriously biased against the S2000 - and I say this as someone who does not (yet?) own the car and hence don't have a $33K investment to be touchy about. I've rarely seen such a hostile tone and such cheap shots on a car which is generally agreed to be a stunning looker, performer, and overall value. I suppose I shouldn't be surprised about MSN Carpoint: these are the boneheads who for a while offered a "review" of the new BMW M3 - only it wasn't the M3 but the 325/330. Silly and unprofessional stuff, no doubt about it.

2) That being said, I am a bit surprised people here seem so sensitive about comparisons to the Miata, as if one dare not mention that car in the same sentence as the S2K. Honestly, the Miata is also a great car (I owned one for a while). It delivers a fun-to-drive, reliable, small roadster experience not so distant from that of the S2K, and what it lacks in raw performance compared to the Stook (a lot!) it somewhat compensates for by being many thousands cheaper. I also think it looks very nice, in a gentler way than the gorgeous S2000. Look, if people are sometimes going to compare the Stook to Boxsters and M Roadsters (justified by sheer performance, not justified in some other respects), then don't be surprised - turnabout being fair play - to see it compared to Miatas sometimes (different planet in performance numbers, but in tossable driving feel and some other respects closer than the Boxster/M Roadster comparo).

Does this mean I prefer the Miata to the S2K? Hah! Been there, done that. I'm hoping to buy a S2K soon...

There should be no need for name calling just because we disagree with his opion. Does reading a bad review make you love your car any less? We should all thank him for saving the S2Ks for the true enthusiasts

I read his article prior to buying my car. I decided that I need to make up my own mind. I test drove the car, and came to this conclusion: the S2000 is the only true sports car I can comfortably afford. I gave myself one night to think it over and bought it the next day. I've been enjoying the car ever since.

Don't waste time getting upset because someone else doesn't like our cars as much as we do. Do youself a favor and spend the time washing, waxing, and driving that special S2000 instead! Life is too short to waste on things you don't like

I agree... get this jackass to take it to a real track and run the S2000 around for a few hours. This is the type of reporter who probably has never even been to an auto competition. I mean common, the steering comments just reaks of "I tested this car in rush hour traffic".
