Looking for a 2002, what are your thoughts?
I know another board member in Austin (also pretty much top down weather for most of the year) bought his '02 with under 5k for under $25k, and this was over two months ago. I agree that $27k is pretty high for a used '02, but then again, I'm not shopping for one.

I was looking for a '02 for about 4 months until I finally found the one. I live in AZ and it is very hard to find them cheap here, so I was searching autotrader and cars.com in about a 1000 mile radius from here. If you live on the east coast you can find them really cheap. I saw a couple good deals that I barely missed. You gotta check often cause the well priced ones sell fast. I missed out on a 02 silver/red with 5500 miles, I called to offer 26.5k and the person said he already sold it for 26k. That car was in Tulsa. I missed out on probably 2 others in a similar way. The car I finally got surprisingly came from Cali. 02 suzuka with 7700 miles for 25.9k. Basically check the classifieds often and try to deal a little bit.
Dealerships will definitely deal a lot on this car, but you have to remember you will be paying about $2k in sales tax, which you won't have with a private seller. I would stick with a private seller unless you can get an amazing deal from a Honda dealership cause it will be Honda Certified. Don't even bother with non-honda dealerships.

There is a lot more money in Arizona and California than there is here in Texas. It's no surprise that cars sell for a lot more out there. Just go cruise around in Scottsdal, AZ sometime, or even go out to San Francisco or Los Angeles....
