While Honda did an admirable job converting a concept to production without losing too much in the transition, it is always cool to think of what could have been.

For me, I love the bumper mounted headlights and the rear diffuser. The interior is a little extreme for a daily driver, but cool nonetheless. And the 5 cylinder would have been damn cool just for uniqueness.

What do you all think?

Damn, I love those pictures...I recall the reason that the headlights had to be raised in the production model was because DOT said they were too low. Yes, brough to us by the same yahoo's who give us amber side marker and turn signal lights...

But an awesome car...our heritage!

The interior is a little too much. The headlights look like big fog lights cuz they sit so low. I think if Honda released the S2000 looking like that, we'd have another headlight controversy (current gen Prelude and Integra when they first came out). But it is amazing how the shell of the car is instantly recognizable.

I wish Honda would have kept the rear diffuser (or atleast a more toned down one)and the side vents!

I can't believe no one noticed.

Count the number of exhaust pipes on that engine.

Ahh yep, proves my theory: The convertible top was an afterthought

I bet those tail-lights aren't plastic either!

There is Nothing about that car that i like. I think they did a great job with our current S. The lower headlights made the car look kindda thin. The back? looklike someone took a big bite off the bumper. Just MO.
Actually, I think the rims is very sharpe.
