Check the sticky at the top of the forum entitled "What to look for when buying an S2000." Lots of information there for you to read up on, especially since you are looking at a 99 model. Very low mileage on that one, so it was probably a garage queen. Read over that thread and take some of that information with you to a mechanic to have them look over the car (if you do not feel knowledgeable enough to look it over yourself). As always, test drive the vehicle and ensure that the warranty you are getting will cover most of the usual issues that arise with buying an older model vehicle.

Otherwise, sounds good. If it all checks out, go for it!

Nothing wrong with a 99 model, but you need to understand what comes with that model compared to younger models, i.e. plastic rear window versus glass rear window, difference in bumper (front and rear), oil consumption monitoring required, etc.

Again, the link at the top of this forum:
https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/775...-a-used-s2000/

Will give you good information on what to look for. Once you are comfortable with what you are getting into, then you can move forward. Have you taken it to a mechanic to check over, or have you looked it over yourself? If this is your first S2K, do you feel knowledgeable enough about the car to get one? Have you driven RWD before (it seems you haven't)? If not, do you understand the difference in physics compared to FWD?
