looking to buy a used s2k. Suggestions?

Hi. I'm looking to buy a used S2000 probly 02 or 03 depending on the price. What's the difference between the 04 and previous models other than the engine? Is the new shoulder room really that big? Don't mean to start a flame war. Please respond objectively. Thanks.
Edit: Also please tell me what kind of mods is commonly done for people who've just gotten their S2k. Preferably cosmetic and electronics first. Thanks.

Can't really comment on the differences bw 04 and others, but MANY other members can.
Larger rims are a pretty nice upgrade, but may not be your cup of tea. The stock 16's aren't that bad.
Owners usually start with a nice front lip for another cosmetic upgrade. I think the OEM lip and trunk spoiler are nice subtle add ons IMO.
Electronically, I say upgrade your sound as the stock sound system sucks. Many owners have done these first.
From there it's up to you
