if a poster ACTIVELY solicits opinions, advice and suggestions (by posting "I was wondering if it was worth selling a newer car for an older s2k"), then why try to dismiss others suggestions. you're right, in that others do not pay his bills, but many of us have been where he/she is right now and have age and reason on our side. cars are a pathetic use of one's financial resources. disposing of a car that is under warranty and without any noted defects, for a vehicle with higher maintenance/repair costs that is, or will shortly be, out of warranty is crazy. the guy is seventeen... he needs all the advice he is willing to accept.

 

I got your point, now he has 2 sides of the coin. Now he can think about it and make his choice , right?

So I guess we did our part in helping somehow. It's true what you say but what Im trying to say is that if he can not to hold back, that's all. You only live once!

I dont drive the car like a bat outa hell, so i dont think reliability will be a big thing (I vtec 1-2 times a gas tank). As for the rsx, it does have its own share of problems, like the 2nd gear grind that no service department will even acknowledge, let alone work on.
