Default Looking for CAI...Attn Sponsors

If anyone someone could help me, I'd appreciate it. I'm looking to add a CAI on my car, but I'm looking for one that requires no cutting or removal of the bumper. I want my car to sound like it should, more angry than it does now. The only one I've come across is R.M. Racing's Low Restriction Air Inake with Cold Air Option. Does anyone have experience with this one? Any other suggestions would be great. I'm really only trying to get it to sound good. Thanks.

If sound is truly your only concern, then don't bother with a CAI. Just take the top off of your factory airbox and voila...CAI sound with none of the pain. Of course, you get none of the gains either. If you want the same idea but dressed up a bit, take a look at some of the hot air or short ram intakes out there. Same story...sound good, performance bad.

i second the vote for comptech. the install is fairly simple and it sounds great. removal of the bumper is not required.

Is this the comptech CAI that you're talking about the Ice Box cold air box? If so, is there anything else I need to get along with it (filter, tubing)? How much of a difference is there in the sound? Does it help engine lag significantly? Basically is it worth the roughly $350?? Thanks....

I also have the comptech - and sell it too - it works great, and I prefer the design over the aem/injen's due to the box which can collect and drain out water instead of the tube IN CASE there is high water or a lot of water around.

great sound, not too tinny, and gives some power on the butt-o-meter as well.

no you just buy the intake. the intake comes with everything needed for it to work properly. check out http://solar.innercite.com/comptech/intake13.html for information and then you can go ahead and order from one of the board sponsors if you decide that you want to go ahead with the comptech cai...

The site posted above states the comptech is "slightly louder than stock." Can someone please set my mind at ease and tell me that it'll give me the killer sound I'm looking for.
