at the moment i own a 2006 wrx but iv owned subarus all my life. i really have always liked the s2k but never really went to check one out or even considered buying one. lately iv been getting bored of the 4dr sedan cars and really wanna try an s2k

my main issue is will i be able to use it as a DD? i just moved to annapolis maryland and iv been told it doesnt snow much and if it does it no more then an inch.

just like some input from some s2k owners and car enthusiast.

Dude absolutely you can daily it. Plus, Maryland has some of the best maintained roads (at least when I'm driving down through the state, it seems that way lol). Once you hop into one and drive it for the first time, wrx's will be old news. You'll be hooked like the rest of us.

Just invest in some good tires for summer, and then change them out for some solid winter rubber if you are concerned about heavy snowfalls. There are people here in upstate NY that daily them, so I think you'll be fine down south.

i drove one in and out of the body shop i used to work at but never took it out on the road. im very interested but cant seem to find any good deals. id prefer low miles but any low mile s2ks are 20k is price. im more looking at dealerships cuz its easier to get a loan.

whats miles and condition am i looking at around 14-16k$??

 

Honestly, you can find a steal in that price range. A friend of a friend is in contact with a guy who is selling an AP1 with 1200 original miles for 23k. I know that's not in the price range you are looking at, but that's just to give you an idea of whats out there lol.

I'd say for that price range, you can get a 45-60k mile ap1 in nice condition. Just my .02 cents.

For reference, I'm looking to get 20k out of mine which is an 08 ap2 GPW RED/black interior with 60k miles in mint condition.

ap1 is the 2000-2003 models, ap2 is 2004-2009 models

Great daily driver and 2006+ is excellent in snow provided winter tires.

 

this guy has a 2000 s2k with 140 on chasis and 50k on ap2 swap wants 10k. any input? never been sure about buying cars with different motors
