Looking to tint windows
I think we need to clarify the 2 different kinds of tints being talked about here. The original poster has an S2000 with a glass rear window. Standard tinting techniques are used for glass. This involves installation of the tint on the inside surface of the glass (on the car's interior). Next, some people are talking about the plastic rear window. This one has been traditionally (traditional in the sense of MY '00 and '01 S2000s) done using "static cling" type of tint (different from the tint being discussed for glass), which is installed on the OUTSIDE of the window. These are two different principles and we should try to keep this distinction.
Although static cling can be used for glass, this is not the usual way. Standard tint film used for glass won't work well for the plastic windows. It just won't stick well.
