Loss of F1 team end to S2000 lineage

The S2000's lineage was lost when they started mass producing it with the ap2 model.
It lost it's 9g rev line became a misbadged S2200 and production was moved from Tochigi to Suzuka.
Give me a Tochigi plant S2000 anyday. The only other cars produced there were F1 and NSX's. The quality was Honda's best. There was only one robot on site, everything else including the motor was hand assembled.

Get a little steamier...check the specs on an ap1 then compare them to a 2008 and a 2008 cr.
The cr is an ap1 with an ap2 motor. Look at the weight. The ap1 weighs less than the CR. The ap1 has the same steering ratio as the CR. The ap1 has more hp than the CR
Check the stabilizer bar sizes too.
Here you go
2008 and 2008 CR
2002 ap1
Did I mention clutch delay valves...hmmm
Enjoy

lol...I agree with everything you said (ap1's are the best of course, lol) except for the hp part. I believe the "decrease" is due to the way hp was measured? I'm not saying it increased, I'm just saying it didn't decrease.

Look at where they measure max hp compared to redline.
CR is measured at 7800 with a redline of 8000
ap1 is measured at 8300 with a redline of 9000.

No I was pointing out that the F1 connection was lost long ago with a plant change and a model change. The proof is that to get back to it's design roots they created the CR which is basically an ap1 with an ap2 motor.
