Default Lost the key for my wheel locks...

So long story short, I had new tires put on a couple months back. Somehow, I managed to lose the key for my locks in the process. Now, I'm in desperate need of new front brakes and have no way of getting the wheels off.

Will a Honda dealer sell just the wheel key? Are they universal? And am I going to be paying $500 for one?

I hope there not all the same or they would be pointless. I would take your car to a shop and have them take em off for you. I lost my key on my hatch and i had a small repair shop take em off for i think 10 bucks.

If worst comes to worst, auto parts stores sell a socket/drive that's got sharp blades inside of it that will grip the lugnuts for removal.

Honda dealer has the key. There are a limited number of keys with the idea being that a potential wheel theif will not have all of them. It would cost a boatload for Honda to have individual patterns for each set - hence they don't.

Just go to your dealer and explain the situation.

They sure do. Mine came with the lock, but no key. They did it for free.

You should get a code number with the car/locks that you can use to order a new key.
