Default Lousy Orlando dealer

Has a *used* 2001 S for sale, 2400 miles, that he'll sell to more for a "$4000 savings". How much is that then, I ask. "$32k", he says. Don't you mean $28k and change? "No, these cars cost $36k new. *pauses* in addition to a $399 dealer fee."

He adds "not much new on the 2002 models" as I look at the gallon of Armor All they've soaked the S's interior with. Blech!

What a dork! What a rip!

Where's the best place in or around Orlando to get an S? PLEASE do not say Classic Honda. They're anything but classic!

Oh boy!!!!! I bought mine new at Classic back in april for MSRP with no forced add ons. I'd done business with them previously and threatened to take my business elsewhere if they didn't accomodate my offer to buy at sticker. At the time the salesman did show me 6 buyers orders from over the previous several months and the sales prices ranged from $34500-$38000. They did have 5 new S2000s on the lot, at the time I bought so maybe that helped me a bit. Try Autonation (formerly Jimmy Bryan Honda) in Longwood they do not mark up the price. Good luck!!!

Andy, please don't let a bad PURCHASING experience deter you from using Classic for service. Billy Walker, a service writer there, gave me the best customer service I've ever received from a Honda dealer, and I thought so enough to drive the 100 miles (from my then-home NW of Tampa) to have his team perform whatever work needed to be done.

I hope you can find a dealer willing to work with you! Don't even bother looking in Tampa/St Pete though; I ended up going 500 miles away to get mine

Andy,

I'm sorry you had that kind of experience at Classic, I had hoped for more from them. I have had excellent service there too Billy Walker takes care of me as well. Him and his team understands how much s2k's mean to the owner.

Go to the manager and make him an offer. If he doesnt want to sell, get it somewhere else. I flew almost 800 miles to get mine and then drove it home. It was a blast!!!!

Buy one up north. Roadsters are generally not flying off the lot in November and December up there. I got mine below sticker last December in VA .

THANKS Santa Claus!!!!!!!!!!!!!
