well my lowered AP1 had just started the inner vibration from my inner cv joints going bad. how many other owners have ever expirenced this? from my searches it doesnt see too common?

my car=MY02 lower 1.5 on tanabe GF210's. 39k on the odo.

Same here. Eibach Pro Kit drop is only an inch, and I don't really expect to have problems. You might need axle spacers with 50% more drop, but I'm not really sure. I'm not sure how long (in miles) it's been since we lowered the car, but the car has a little over 50k on the odometer, and it was probably lowered at about 40k miles.

What size tires? Wear rating? Do you autocross on R compound tires?

(Just looking for other factors that may have contributed to the CV joint failure.)

Were the boots in good condition?

Mine started a couple thousand miles after lowering. However, it has 60k miles and was autoxed heavily for a few years with r-compounds.

It was fairly easy to swap one side's inner CV for the other. Which temporarily solved the problem. Eventually I will replace the axles with these:

How did you diagnose it as for sure being the cv joints? What exactly are the symptoms?

vibration only under WOT acceleration@speeds above 60 or so. everything appears fine when you inspect the half shafts/diff. i am going to buy some spacers and swap the joints to the other sides and see if that fixes it.

Have you had any problems at the front of the car?
Not yet, thank goodness. But I check for a-arm mount cracks every time I have the front wheels off.
