Default lucid rear speaker install?

Any advice would be appreciated.

I am installing lucid rear speakers, I ordered them with the baffle over the intake vents. Is this a bad idea in the Mid atlantic? Does it matter?

thanks

Mike

Baffle? Vent? Atlantic? Please come back. The rear speakers as far as I know don't affect anything unless you need the seat all the way back and you bought big speakers.

While we are on the subject, I am planning on installing the rear speakers. I tried to stick a flathead screwdriver in the gap and tried to pry off the front plastic piece. It didn't want to budge and I was afraid to break the clips. Any advice?

Thanks.

It took me about an hour to install the Lucid rear speakers. This included stopping and going to a local Honda dealership to get my radio code (I never got the radio code when I purchased the car) and waiting for it stop raining.

As far as removing the trim piece around the head unit. Take a flathead screwdriver wrap it in electrical tape and pry from the top of the head unit. Once you get it loose, just grab the radio door and pull straight back and the whole trim piece will pop off.

The rear speaker from Lucid come with an optional baffle. They will put foam over the vent intake in the panel next to the speaker. This is to give more bass, better sound. My question is how much will this affect the A/C, I am not sure how this vent functions in the heat A/C system.

Lucid has instructions on there site for radio removal

how hard is it to run the rear speaker wires? does the s2000 come prewired, or lucid supplies the wires?

It takes all of ten minutes to run the wires from the rear speakers to the head unit. You actually run the wires up along the center console and tuck them under the carpet on the center console.
