Which to use with my new wheels? Why?
I'm leaning towards the McGard spline drives since I already have them, but they are for tuner wheels (smaller hole, which in turn, smaller lug nuts). Also, the others look great too!
I can use the black BBS's, but I don't have black locks!
McGard's are lightweight, where as, BBS and Gorilla are normal/heavy weight (~52 grams).

Left: BBS (came with wheels); Center: McGard Spline Drives; Right: Gorillas

Personally I think the gorillas look the cleanest of the 3. I'm really big into clean, no-frills cosmetic mods. I really like the wheels, btw. I bet they'll look pretty sharp.

I like Kyokugen. If only for the name. They have that racer/ricer appeal. Plus they look great. They also save weight.

I'm a fan of the Kyokugen.

Kyokugen are ok, but not great. You have to retighten them a few times over the first few hundred miles because they have a tendency to loosen when new; I didn't find that recommendation until AFTER I had lost a lug nut. There have also been several complaints about the nuts being very difficult to remove and the lug adapter stripping.

The total difference in weight is a few ounces. Since they are located at the center area of the wheel, they don't make any meaningful improvement. If I had to do it over again, I would probably get a different brand.

My 2 cents,
Tanq

Just weighed the McGard spline drive and the Gorilla lugs on a percision weight scale.
1 Spline Drive = 33 grams
1 Gorilla = 62 grams ( Gorilla's are heavy!)
1 BBS = 52 grams

I don't know about our stock lug nuts weight.

Another weight comparison...
1 stock nut = 31.4 grams

I guess by going with the POLL, I don't need any lug nuts at all!
I'll just tape some magnet strips to the wheel hub!
