O.K. since you asked for it (sort of), here they are once again, the hideous father and son duo, wheel to wheel, for your comparison pleasure:

Both were beautiful? Yikes I lived in that era and was not won over by either car's visual appeal, or lack thereof. Great engines I agree, but they are rather ugly. Unless you enjoy the NASCAR.

M3 is a great car........(had a silver 98 coupe loaded, traded it in for my mom's X5)
M Coupe or Roadster...........great engine, transmission and breaks.
(those cars chassis and rear suspension design is actually taken right off of the E30 series, yes, the 3 series from the late 80's)
That being said, the new M coupes/roadsters steers harshly and its suspension is "nervous that's not quite the match for the big motor".
A car's looks is almost as personal as the way you pick your women, so I will not comment on the looks of the M coupe or roadster.
Last but not least, if money is an issue to you, or if you want the biggest "bang" (or overall performance) for your buck, the S2000 is it; THERE IS NOTHING OUT THERE THAT OFFERS WHAT THE S2K OFFERS FOR THE SAME (or even any where near) PRICE.
(I love my S2K)
