Default Maint'd Light...is it supposed to do this?

Sorry if posted in the wrong section.

Just about a minute ago when I started up the car the Maint'd Light was flashing a couple times and then it disappeared, is this normal? I really haven't noticed it lighting up until now...

if it flash a couple times and is going away, that probably means your coming up close to your next maintenance. you can check your manual to see what you have to do.

how many miles are you coming on?

no problem.

just to make sure you dun freak out, if you dun have your scheduled maintenance done by a Honda dealer, you're going to have to reset the Maintenance light yourself. instructions for that are also in the manual. x]

enjoy your S.

Maint req'd light will come on when the car thinks it's time for an oil change. It's not an indication of ANYTHING other than the car thinking it's time for an oil change. It doesn't know you need an oil change, it's just guessing. It doesn't measure the oil, or know anything about the oil. It's based on miles covered, etc since the last time the light was reset.
