Hi All,

OK, I can read and follow simple instructions and I KNOW that I reset the light at 7500 miles. Now at just about 15,000 I cannot reset it. I press and hold the trip reset while turning the the key from lock to the next position (Accessory on). The light does not come on so while continuing to press the button I turn the key to ignition On. The light blinks twice and then stays On.

I do remember that at before I reset the light while it was still in the flashing mode. This time I've waited until the light is on full time.

Is there something special about 15,000 miles? The FAQ implies that the instructions are for resetting the light at 7000 miles.

Any ideas?

 

The manual does not contain the right instructions for resetting the light. You have to start with the ignition off (which you did), hold the button, and turn the car all the way on. Continue to hold the button (which may take up to 10 seconds) until the light goes out.

at first i tried the manual instructions.and that didnt work, then i tried the way mentioned above and it works.

 

Yes, you have to hold the button down. I think they corrected these instructions by the MY02 owner's manual, but it's incorrect in the MY00 (and MY01, maybe?)
