Sorry Red, but I found this bump of an old thread useful. I have the same issue and couldn't find it in my owner's manual. I changed my own oil at 60,000 or so and shortly afterward, the "maintenance required" light came on.
Would that light indicate anything else besides the need for an oil change?
I have an '01 AP1 and I don't think that I have the "remaining oil life percentage" feature.
