Default Tyco RC s2000

I was wondering if anyone knew anything about these or where to get them? Are they extinct already? Lol I remember I had one of these back in the day when I was a kid (still young. I'm only 18) well point is I had a blast with it, it was really rear end happy, it would get loose on ceramic. I believe they only made them in red, I was wanting to buy another one so I can make a replica of my s with it. I think that would be pretty cool, here's a pic for reference https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/gallery/p...133__file__med anyone know anything?

This is the way that I went for my 7 year old gear head son. He has sevearl bodies: Current model Mustang (already finished), e92 M3 GTR and an S2000 (both still unpainted). I definitely recommend tower hobbies:

These sorts of RC vehicles will be much better than any of the store grade, although be aware that the bodies are very thin lexan to keep weight down.

What appear to be hood tie downs are actually the body tie downs. Remove those clips and you can swap bodies almost instantaneously.

Oops, better warn you, these are only the bodies. If you want the chasis/motor, etc. you will need to pick those up as well.

Here's an example of an HPI "ready to run". You can go from there to pick up the chasis, remote, etc. Or you can just pick up one of these.

I haven't ordered from them in a few years, but for 10 years prior I used to order from them fairly regularly and never had a problem.

Im an amainhobbies.com fanboy. I get all my stuff from them. They are great. but regardless of where you get it from, any hobby grade kit will be much better quality. I have been into this hobby for over 10 years, if you have any questions shoot me a PM

If you want a kit, make sure it is RTR (ready-to-run), if not, your gonna have to build it and buy your own radio equipment, ESC (electronic speed controller), and motor.

Also be aware that when you get the body, it is going to come as an un-cut clear shell that you have to paint. I recommend a set of lexan scissors to cut the body shell.

That's actually a pretty good guide to preparing these bodies. I learned all of that, but it took about a dozen different pages to get all of those tips.

It's also nice to know (I found out trial and error) that you can freely exchange bodies between Tamiya and HPI. My son has both of these chasis and likes to swap car bodies. We found that the mounting posts are pretty much identical (or close enough to work at least) between the two companies. If you decide that you like an HPI body but have a Tamiya chasis-or vice versa-you can mix and match.

I have the exact one you are talking about. My 2 year old son actually just found it and started playing with it.
