Jesus, a search might help. Hold the trip button while you turn on key from off to on. Hold until the indicator stops flashing.

BTW, HTF can you not know where your owner's manual is? Isn't it kept in every car you've ever owned except when you are reading it?

first of all, if you had read my last reply i said that the holding the button down while turning on the ignition doesn't work...secondly, the person who had the car before me misplaced the owner's manual...smart A

This is why I never ask questions on this forum. Too many pricks around here.

The OP is new. Perhaps he doesn't know his way around here. He already said he doesn't have a manual. If I had gotten a welcome like that back when I first found this site, I would have never paid to become a member.

.

Not all the time... but sad isn't it.

Engine OFF
Hold the trip button down
Engine ON
Keep holding the trip button until the Maintenance Light goes off (about 5-6 seconds)

Enjoy!

oh, and to (appropriately) answer your question, the correct answer is:

"Push and hold the trip button, turn the ignition switch ON, and continue holding the trip button for more than 10 seconds."

Actually, it shouldn't take 10 seconds. Just keep holding the button until the light goes out

Edit: dammit S~Factor, you beat me to it
