I change the oil filter at every oil change. Old school habits die hard.

Oil filters are cheap, why wouldn't you change it every oil change?

I'm about to hit 105k soon on my S. Got my head rebuilt, new TCT, valve adjustment, coolant changed at 98k. Will be replacing my trans fluid, diff fluid, clutch fluid since I don't know when they were last changed

New oil, new filter. I'm old school, too. Cheap insurance for keeping the engine oil cleaner.

Ok then. What about if i change the oil every 2,500 miles do you think i should change the oil filter. And on another note i've seen first hand syn oil go well beyond 50,000 miles with no troubles even at well over 220,000 miles now(current mileage on work truck).

If you don't change the filter, you aren't changing all the oil. Its not like filters are expensive, or difficult to change. So why bother changing oil and not changing filter? Makes no sense at all.
