I was leaving my fitness club tonight after a workout and as I got into the car, a guy approached me with a lot of questions, starting off with "Wow, that car is beautiful. Haven't seen many before, did it just come out?" Turned out the guy owns a Z3 but is thinking about dumping it for an S2000. He was amazed about what I told him (9000 RPM, rigid chassis, etc -- he said "you mean the cowl doesn't shake", which tells you a lot about the BMW) but the zinger was the price: "All that for $32 grand?", he intoned. When I showed him the engine bay he said, "Man, that's a big four!" A very nice guy, btw. Hope he dumps the German iron and becomes one of us!

I offered to let him drive next time I see him at the club. He said he wanted to do that.

Well... I'm one of the converts from Z3. I couldn't stop thinking about S2000 after test driving one. To make the long story short, I took delivery of a silver/red two days ago. And I'm loving every minute of it. I've already added X-bar and STB. After reading the forum, I went ahead and ordered the parts even before the car arrived. :-) What can I say? I'm completely taken by the car. This site is very addicting!!!

You sound like me. I had a roomful of accessories and mods 3 months before I had the car.

Speaking of x-bars, where is a good place to get one?
