Male Bonding with Stooks
Taking the "letting your wife drive" one step further, my wife thinks that getting Stooks together for a drive, like we did in the Malibu run Sunday, is male bonding (all 8 drivers happened to be men). I think that is a bunch of hooey! It's about getting together and showing off a bunch of unique, uncommon, cool cars; comparing notes and equipment; sharing ideas; and general socializing. If half the Stook drivers are women, that's fine with me.
My neighbor across the street, Ernie, belongs to a Corvette club. Twice a year or so he hosts a meet/BBQ. There are Corvettes up and down the street. It's pretty cool. However, when we have our Angeles Crest run, there will be Stooks up and down the street. Now that will really be a sight to behold.

Interesting...
Wel, at least in Asheville, I wonder what the exact number of women was. Out of the 140 or so people, I would say that about 20-25% were women?! Does that sound right, all you S2KDays attendees?!
Also, we have a regular at our VOTA meetings, the always cool and fun, Juliann of Team Threesome. Your wife MAY have a point, though. We need more women to participate. How we go about getting them to do so is another question.

I don't think it's male bonding. There are plenty of women S2K drivers. It was just a coincidence that all the drivers you met up with were male. It's the appreciation for the car that gets us all together.
