Default Stook Hunting........

Went out for a good burn today with the intention of seeing how many Stook's I could spot.
I did over 100 miles through the Midlands without seeing a single one , so decided to make my way home.
I was no more than a mile from my home when I spotted a silver one 'S2000 BU'
We had a good waving session and he followed me for a couple of miles before I decided to turn back in the direction of home (was gasping for a cup of tea ).
Having a silver in my rear view mirror brought back memories of Rutland.
It made my day

I wonder what Tonky and the rest of the "Anti 'Stook' Club" would make of this...Maybe it's legal to hunt a 'Stook' , just make sure it's not a S2000/S2k

Well... one more S2000 in the Midlands from Tuesday
I imagine you'll see DU51XDX some time

I hope to see a lot of S2000's at the meet. I hear 'Stook' hunting is more succesful at a pre-arrange meet

Here's a totally pointless little observation... if you see a S2000 and the other owner doesn't see you, how do you attract attention?
- Stock horn is terrible.... parp
- Famm/Other airhorns sound good but could be anything
- Flash the lights and you'll blind people...
- VTec and you're still quieter than an ITR.

Suggestions?

Remind me to wear sunglasses going to the meet, regardless of the weather.

A few days after I got mine on the 24th August, I saw a 'V' plate Black / Black going in the opposite direction from me in Telford - we waved at each other, but I don't think its someone on this board.....

Could be wrong though..... I think if I ever meet anyone with an S2K, I'll tell them about this board - in fact I think it should be compulsory for Honda Dealers to give new owners the details

The American guys had little business cards made up. If they ever saw a Stook on a car park etc, they would leave the card under the wiper blade.
I believe the card had the details of this site.
Pretty cool idea

Our policies on this are well set out. We would never let THAT word sour our relationships with fellow S2000 owners. Ours is a gentle war of attrition and persuasion

S2000's that I see are always going in the opposite direction - they are always white, silver or yellow - since I have a dark colour I thought they were just my polar opposites spooking me....but then suddenly I get the chance to run with a silver one for all of 200metres before he turns off right...he got too close! - apart from the parked ones I am lucky to see about 5 a week with only 150kms driving per week. High density in my city

Well, there's enough Americans that a good idea has to come from there every so often

Seriously, sounds like a good idea. It's not expensive to have a few cards made up....

There aren't that many S2000's in the UK, and I don't think they'll ever be a common car. The cards could be nice.

The other thing is the decal's -

S2ki Decals

Though I'm not sure I want stickers on my S2000. I've already made sure the dealer isn't putting any on.

Can't even put the URL on the number plates any more... (A lot of the Honda-R members have done this, with ghosted plates. Looks nice.)

Honda-R has tax discs - that's another option. Get some tax discs made up. If there's interest in this I could find out where Honda-R get there's made up and how much they cost etc.
