Nice ride! Fun writeup! FWIW, you can install that same single DIN stereo/navi in the S2000. Maybe my next mod...

Fuel economy has been about 31mpg

August 4-Chicago.

Woke up at 8am, and went to Fox Valley motorsports to get service. Met with TJ the Lotus Tech. Very nice and helpful guy. He gave the car a look and made sure everything was ok. We chatted a lot about things re cars, and a true genuine guy. He came highly recommended by the local Lotus community, and I can see why. I was there till 12pm, and he gave the dirty Elise a full car wash/detail.

Here is the car parked at the hotel, once I got back from the service.

From my 8th floor hotel room, looking down at the freshly clean Elise.

A special person admiring it

(I forgot my camera while at Fox Valley, but I used his camera to take pics, and once he sends the pics to me, I will post here).

Then for lunch, went to downtown Chicago with my friend who had flew in from Nashville to hang out. We had Chicago pizza, yumm it was good!

Then took my friend back to the airport at 4pm, and met up at the STREETS of WINFIELD, with fellow miata.net members and s2ki.members and Elisetalk members, who were there to welcome me.

It was great to meet them and put faces to the online names. We met at 6pm. Then we went to drive in the Chicago

Awesome update!

Absolutely living vicariously on this trip. We're going out for a ride down to Montana now to pick up my buddy's new rims and tires for his 300zxTT from across the border. See you all in Sweetgrass. Wait, I'll see NOBODY in Sweetgrass because it's a nuthin town!

Looking forward to the next update. Enjoy
