Manual Transmission
I actually learned to drive manual on the S2K. Long story short, my dad went with me to bring it home and do the test drive for me at one time. I wanted the S2K BADLY, so I brought him along to drive it and make sure it wasn't overly abused(I had bought other hondas from this same guy, so I knew he was straight up about this S2K anyways) and after we got it home, the next day I was out in the car getting used to the gear box feel and clutch feel before I even started the car.
Honestly it took me about a damn day to even get the car moving in reverse, I was getting frustrated
! I kept stalling and jerking the car and could not figure out the process at first to even begin to make it move
. But I kept on and using the RPM's of the car and listening to the car I finally understood what I needed to do... Basically driving a manual is all about foot/eye coordination and listening to the car as well.
Heck I still stalled out for a while after I was 'brave' enough to go out on the highways and around town, but I figured it out and it didn't cost me any extra above and beyond the car itself thankfully
. Once you learn how to drive a manual tranny, you'll never go back to auto trannys I'll bet you. Good luck bro, but yeah I would not go to the dealership and not have a clue about driving stick
. Take a friend or parent or someone more experienced...

I wouldn't even consider a S2000 if I didn't know how to drive manual.
I learned on a 1991 Geo Storm way back in the day. Come to think of it, I've never owned an automatic. I get too bored driving them to actually buy one.
Find a friend with a car that'll teach you MT before your drive.

Been driving a manual transmission since I was eight, a 1951 Willey's Jeep. Buy a m/t car and learn on it before driving an S, or you will make some expensive mistakes.
my mom and dad taught me on a 9 Geo Prism Lsi 5 speed. i still have that car and love it. very reliable. outside of learning by experience - reading on it first helped me A LOT. once you understand how they work, and therefore why the do the things they do (like stall) it makes it a lot easier

I learned to drive off my 97 Prelude. IMO it's a good idea to learn on a beater before learning on the S2K. Why hurt the transmission of a expensive car when you don't have to.
Find a friend who is willing to let you learn on their MT
I've taught many people to drive MT on my prelude until i sold it

My Dad taught me in 10 minutes on a 1969 AMC Ambassador with a column shifted 3-speed. He drove the car up our street explaining what he was doing. We traded seats and I drove it up the street. He got out and said have fun!
