Mechanix gloves
Depends on what type you get. Some are just clunky. The ones I have have suede finger tips, and are pretty tactile. I also find they keep most of the crud off my hands. Their Hot sleeves are pretty nice to have too. I wear them a lot just to protect my arms.
I use thick and thin nitrile gloves depending on what I am doing. This thick don't rip and are a little longer to protect the forearm from cuts when reaching way into the engine compartment. The thin ones are better for dirty jobs that requre frequent changing or when you need your full sensitivity.
I'm a really satisfied owner of those gloves, I've been through about 4 pairs, none of them needed to be thrown out, but yeah as stated above, great glove for handling big parts, and doing under body work, but you wont have the motor skills to maneuver smaller parts. They wash fine too, I prefer the quick fit ones so I dont have to fumble with the strap. Hope your happy with them.
I like mechanics gloves for some things. Working in a hot or warm engine bay, or doing work that is likely to produce busted knuckles, cuts, etc. I take 'em off when I'm handling smaller fasteners and such and just work bare handed. Go-jo takes care of the mess.
