I have recently been Interested In the Kit car world, so after some research and hours spend on watching Caterhams etc, I have found a interesting car with our favorite engine installed in it, WESTFIELD MEGA S2000 http://westfield-sportscars.co.uk/we...-s2000-review/ Thought you might be interested http://westfield-sportscars.co.uk/sh...ega-s2000-kit/

The appeal of the Lotus 7 design seems to never go away. With 250bhp and weighing as much as a shopping cart these cars are fast. Always appealed to me anyway despite even less practical than the S2000.

Two summers ago I finally saw one on the road here in Ohio. So many small shops are making these I have no idea what make of car this was but the shape is unmistakable. (I had almost ordered a new rolling chassis South African car in a crate a couple of years previously.) Not exactly "on the road" though, it was on the side of the road where I'd pulled over for a 6-second roof-up when a hard rain started. The young woman passenger was as soaked as her beau. Both had managed to get the top mostly up but not completely snapped and were messing with the side curtains. The interior must have been flooded as wet as they were. Why these cars have such a following in places it rains a lot still surprises me. Even though I knew this would probably be the case I still wanted one. Wanted being past tense.

My friend Ian has a Westfield which appears in the pictures below. This is a wickedly fast machine. This one however is powered by a Hyabusa engine. Redline on this one is in the 14.5k neighborhood and when this thing starts going over 8k, things get interesting very quickly.

This thing has a reverse gear. It has a special adapter that allows a reverse gear to engage. You can see the shifter and the dash in the last picture. While this thing is tons of fun, I think it would be much nicer with a S2000 engine since it would be more "friendly" to drive. The Westy on these pictures is a bit harsh. But holy crap, does this thing go...

Just saying.... As they stated in description

"Honda’s Legendary 2 Litre VTEC Engine"
"It’s an engine that justifies all the acclaim that heads its way."

It's always the F20c that gets such deserved acclaim..... ALWAYS...

Except from AP2 F22c owners of course......

Biggest downside is the cost to US residents. In he UK they are much cheaper to build. Last time I looked a Westfield was around $50k.

You can buy a Bruton Stalker with an LS V8 for half the price (incredibly fun to drive and have been around for a while). After talking with the owner he is interested in making mounting provisions for the F series - perhaps John at LHT can help out? He's local to them...
