Default Megan Coilovers... Street or Track

Hey Guys,

I, as of now have a stock MY05 with 5k miles on it. I am looking into modifiying the suspension. I dont want to spend 2k + for an amazing coilover system since i will most likely not be tracking or auto crossing the car, just spirited street driving.

I know that the suspension is well tuned from Honda stock but want a little stiffer ride with about 1.25in drop.

Ive thought about Koni yellows and springs <-- (insert type..Tein..Eibach..)

I was browsing the Group Buy section and saw the Megan coilovers for a very good price. Same price for the street and track version. the track version is valved for a stiffer ride.

Does anyone have these? Are they good? Junk? ehh?

Thanks
Brad

I don't personally own them, but I do know Enjuku Racing who used the track setup on their drift cars -- they said that they were ok coilovers but were "built for the price".

Having compared the BC Racing coilovers (supplier that Megan, A'pexi, Greddy and Helix buy their coilovers from) to Tein H-tech and konis, there is no comparison, the Megans ride and handle better in pretty much every situation.

I have used on my 4 s2000s, Penske, JRZ, Moton, KW, Ground Control, Tein Flex, and Konis with Espelir, Eibach and Tein S-tech springs. The Megan/BC/Apex'i etc are the best coilovers for the money, in my opinion.

I've got megan street units and I'm pleased with the performance, I haven't experienced any other brand on my car but it's definitely an upgrade from stock. I can't imagine spending that kind of money again for a different brand.

I use the Megan Racing Track coilovers. I love the adjustability on them and they handle very well. I added some pre-load on mine. Ride is dependent on how you set it. I like to have mine set around the middle setting which is what they call "mountain use". I've had experience with other coilover systems and I can't say these are bad at all for the money.
