Default Megan Test Pipe VS Berk Test Pipe

Thinking of getting a test pipe for my car...I am choosing between the 2 and was wondering what other members think is better, performace wise and sound wise.

The Megan pipe is resonated and I believe it will trigger the CEL when installed. On the other hand, the Berk pipe will not trigger the CEL but is not resonated. I have an HKS exhaust and was wondering w/c setup will perform and sound better. I heard that the BERK pipe sounds "so so" on the HKS. Does anyone in here have the Megan pipe on an HKS? What are your thoughts? I do not want that "fart can" sound as much as possible...

Price difference is not that major, BERK $98 shipped - MEGAN $95 shipped plus a CEL fix.

Your opinions are appreciated!

I don't think you could go wrong with either, but if the above statement is true I would go Berk!

I had the Megan test pipe on my s2000 before I sold it, and I used those spark plug extenders and it didn't throw a CEL once. It weighs a lot less than the cat, but am sure that the non-resonated one is lighter. I bought the resonated one, as it looks kind of like a high flow cat, so I might be able to pass the visual inspection that is done at most place here.

Does the resonated Megan pipe reall make a big difference in sound versus the non-resonated BERK pipe?

I've never seen a Berk, but the Megan piece has beautiful welds and comes with a gasket and bolts (not sure if the Berk does or not).

whichever one is cheaper *shrug* I got the berk and threw a code. One of the locals also threw a code on the Berk. I wonder if they had put the anti fouler in the opposite direction if that would eliminate all cel. Anyways, I think the eta on the Berk is late Feb so if you're in a bind, Megan should be in stock. As for the cel, do a spark plug anti fouler and you'll be good to go either way
