take a look at the Berk groupbuy page, my friend and I are not the only ones who have thrown codes. I was curious though if they had made the built in fix to go against the flow rather than with the flow if that would have eliminated all the cel that people have had.

I do agree, get the resonator chopped off and save some money as I have done the same thing. I also agree that the quality of the Berk's pipe is top notch, but there are quite a few people who have thrown codes with the built in

what CEL are you getting?

there is a bung for the secondary o2 sensor right? I'm not too familiar with OBD2 and what it monitors/works.

Weird...

Does it seem to be AP1 / AP2 related or random? Wonder if it's somehow indicitive of how healthy your O2 sensor is... Maybe mine just hasn't kicked on because it's not as sensitive as it once was...?

I have the Fujisubo exhaust on an AP2 and put the Berk pipe on about three months ago. I also have the AEM V2 intake. It periodically throws a CEL, about once every other tank of gas. It seems to throw them more often when it is very cold (less than 20 F or so) and to not throw them when it is above 40 F. It also seemed to throw them more often the first month I had the test pipe and when I run cheap gas but no scientific evidence on that.

Regardless, it has been an excellent mod, my Fuji sounds fuller, deeper and meaner without sounding even slightly ricey. I feel (meaning not tested) more horsepower in that I now take a steep hill I drive every day to work in 6th rather than in 5th. That one I am sure about because I have driven that hill every day for 2 years. I also seem to have better low end torque but that is so subjective that it might be all in my head.

In any case, IMHO, one of the better mods for the bucks. It is a well-made pipe and it does indeed sometimes cause a CEL.

i like the berk one better, but megan does seem to be a petty decent option as well. If I were you i would go for the berk though.

Are you sure about this? I am not doubting you but I don't see how two test pipes can be off by 6 lbs even though one is resonated. Thats really a significant amount. I'd love to see more information on this.

On a side note, according to Megan's website, the resonated test pipe is 2.25" and the Berk pipe is 2.5" so that makes the berk a better choice, but if your mating with HKS either one is fine, because the HKS is 2.36". You want to try and keep the same size diameter through out, but I don't think a 60mm (2.36") test pipe is available.

what about the t1r? I kinda like the idea of being able to use the heat shields from the stock cat to make it look legit.

Any feedback on the t1r?
