Hello,
Tonight I was cruising up El Camino in Redwood City and noticed a blue S2000 in the parking lot at Menlo Honda!! Is anyone on this board driving that car? And where did you come across it?

The car wasn't Australian or something cause it didn't have those little washer nozzles on the headlamps.

And no, I'm not crazy, I turned around to check the color again. I unfortunately didn't have time to stop at the dealer and ask them about it.

Any guesses as to why that car was there?

In the past I have heard of some stooks being repainted blue. It's a great color and I know many wish it was imported here; oh, well, maybe next year.

Someone I work with said he saw one in a parking lot north of Charlotte, NC. He even checked to make sure it said S2000, since he used to sit next to me and had heard me say many times that Honda didn't sell blue in the US.

My guess is repainting, but I haven't seen anyone online mentioning repainting to blue or getting confirmation that someone has done that, who knows how many are out there.

a dealer in LA that posted in the for sale forum said that they could get a blue s2k "if the price was right". So I'm pretty sure it's possible to get one, but it might cost a whole lot.

It has to be repainted just like a few owners repainted their cars to yellow in the first year of S2K production in US.

Was it left or right hand drive.....and what color were the reflectors on the headlamps?

Did it have 5 or 6 spoke wheels?

equals you pay alot of money to have an otherwise beautiful stock S2K painted to the Honda OEM blue by their preferred body shop.
