you should get these hood pins for the miata, they're sleek and look cool.

They're neat but they're also $100...

Small update on the car:

-Ran it at Sebring with Chin 10/6+7 and managed a high 2:32 limited by extreme understeer. No amount of shock/tire pressure changes would cure it.

-During the following week we added Flyin Miata adjustable lower control arm bushings in the front to get more negative camber and we managed gain about a degree negative in the front. Now we're running -2.5 in the front and -2 in the rear.

-We also turned the front sway bar down to the soft setting.

-This past weekend we went back to Sebring with NASA and the car was much easier to drive. I managed consistent 2:31's with a best lap of 2:30.960 in the Time Trial shootout.

-The camber helped, along with running the shocks on full soft but there is still understeer present. The steering rack is still flexing so we're going to tackle that before Chin's Sebring event 11/10+11.

Well, the "lowest" class I can run in because of the engine swap is TTS. The record at Sebring in my class is a 2:24.01 set by a 2002 Z06. My times are closer to the class just under TTS which is TTA (record is 2:31.xx). Basically I have alot of work to do to be competitive in TTS (power to weight ratio). Plans for next year are +60hp, -100lbs, 15x9 with 275 Hoosiers, and eliminating this understeer problem.

It's gonna be exciting! You need to get into this Time Trial thing Josh, it's a blast and we have a great group of people (and Miatas..)

What is cause of the under steer, Lack of negative camber?

and for a reference what sort of time would a s2000 run at sebring?

I think we have enough camber now, it seems that the understeer is a result of that steering rack moving and altering the toe of the wheels mid corner.

As for times, the widebody race S2000 that was there this weekend was in the 2:38's...

Get a real motor. Lose some weight fat ass. No comment.

Hopefully I can ditch this bitch and make it to more Sebring events.

BTW... how the hell did you manage to get those bushings on... i must know.
