Pardon me from saying so, but I take a little offense to the last portion of that statement. I'm 21 years old, will turn 22 this coming December, and I can easily afford my S2000 without any financial aid of any kind. And no, I do not live at home. I financed my car without any co-signatures from anyone, and I pay for it with the money that I earn working a full time job, along with my rent, utility bills, and all of the other regular living expenses that people accrue. No, I don't eat Ramen Noodles for dinner every night either. Quite honestly, I could probably afford an even more expensive car if I had the desire for one. Truth be told though, besides an M3, or perhaps a Z06, there really isn't any other car that I would rather be driving, under $75k anyhow. I'm certainly not trying to brag or anything, I'm just simply making a point. I'm sure I'm not the only person under the age of 22 who has a good job, WORKS HARD, and can afford to own an S2000 without any financial support from his/her parents.

Just my .02.

Cheers!

23 year old 01 Silverstone owner here
Bought it used when I refied my house.

Be careful what you say, some people work hard for a living.

Before you ask, no help from the rents, been on my own since I was 18.

I say just agree with them.

"Yup, it's my mid life crisis."

"Honey I'm just taking my penis extension for a drive. Do you want milk & bread while I'm out?"

Just go and buy an airplane or expensive yacht. Then when they say it must be your mid-life crisis you can just smile at them.
