My friends call the s2000 my $50,000 vasectomy (Oh, that would be $50,000 CDN).

I'm still a young guy, more life to live, many more cars to drive.
I get what your saying. People assume that we are midddle age and driving a convertible sports car, therefore we must be in CRISIS. A friend of mine said the same thing to me after I got the S2000. I pointed out to her that the real crisis was the Aqua colored 2002 Chevy Malibu she was driving.

You only live once. Live life to the fullest. It's about enjoying life and that is no "crisis" no matter what age you are.

my personnal belief is...
i know i have no control of when my life is going to end...so i do best that i can and do all the things that i want to do.

for example...during combat, i know i can be taken out anytime, any where so why bother worrying about it. i just do my job, be brave, and lead my men to accomplish the mission. if along the way, i get killed...so be it.

It was worse for my former boss who brought home his brand new Delorean 20 years ago only to have his daughter comment on the DMC logo on the hood.

"Look mom, it stands for 'Dad's Midlife Crisis'."

Served him right for buying one of those things.

BTW Alex, when I met you, I guessed mid 30s. You still look way too young to be having a midlife crisis. Guess you'll have to wait for that GT2 after all.

The only crisis I can see stemming from S2000 ownership is a lack of winding roads
and inclement weather. There's an old quote that, for this 42-year-old, speaks volumes
and it simply states, "it's a shame youth is wasted on the young." IOW, getting old
doesn't mean growing old. My first car was a convertible for pete's sake.

Mid-life crisis, h-ll? At age 68 most folks I know think I'm having an after-life crisis! Only been driving sports cars now for about 50 years.
